Talamayan<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>True to its\naspiration of producing senior graduates who are ethical, innovative, socially\nresponsive entrepreneurial environmentalists and elementary graduates who are\nvalue-laden, creative, socially aware young environmentalists, three (3)\nschools in the division won in the province-wide search for \u201cCleanest and\nGreenest\u201d of the NariMAT nga Aglawlaw environmental awareness campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Solsona\nNational High School bagged the Championship award in the school level, Barong\nElementary School won as second runner-up and also got the Environmental\nManagement and Sustainability Award, while Pagudpud South Central Elementary\nSchool was adjudged as Best Anti-Plastic Implementer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nsaid contest is a part of Governor Matthew Joseph Marcos Manotoc\u2019s \u201cNariMATT\nnga Aglawlaw: Pasalip Para iti Kadalusan ken Kalangtuan a Siudad,\nMunicipalidad, Barangay ken Pagadalan\u201d, an environmental awareness campaign of\nthe Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte launched last October 4 to recognize\nthe efforts of the local government units (LGUs) and other agencies in managing\nthe environment and to maximize the Ilocanos&#8217; participation in community\ndevelopment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am hoping\nthat we can do all our part whether it\u2019s a simple segregation and picking up\nafter ourselves\u2026 Magiging twice a year na itong contest and I hope that all of\nyou will continue to participate and push each other to clean our province,\nensuring a safer and more livable province for all of our kailian,\u201d Gov.
